one thing that i really struggle with lately is understanding that striving for perfection and giving yourself unreasonable expectations are two completely different things.  i've been a constant stream of "yes" to everything and then feel like i'm letting everyone down when i realize i don't have the time or energy for said agreement.  not sure why i find it necessary to please everyone.  sometimes, you just need to learn how to say no and let go.  hoping to find that balance soon.

  3. Just always remember to take time for yourself. If you don't take care of yourself, then you can't take care of anyone else!

  20. You look amazing! And I can relate to what you say at the end - I'm a people pleaser myself but sometimes don't realize when I've taken on too much until it's too late. It's definitely important to let go and say "no" sometimes! Love this outfit. :)

  23. Learning to say no is HARD. It's better to do fewer things well than spread myself too thin and risk dropping the ball. Logically you probably know that, but still, in the moment...

My breakthrough moment was learning how to give a conditional yes. If I'm tempted to say yes to something but know it might come back to bite me later, I'll say "Yes, but..." and name any limitations, considerations, or conditions.
