My latest beauty collab with Kahlia Adams happened to be right after all the New York, London, and Paris fashion week excitement. Buzzing with ideas, we set out to recreate a combination of some of our favourite beauty trends, fresh off the runways.
Our first thought was BRAIDS BRAIDS BRAIDS of any kind, as seen at Viktor and Rolf. Though I don't know if I could re-create this exact braided style with my impossibly thick and bobby pin rejecting locks, Kahlia did a great job of putting it all back in record time. She just did two long french braids, parted in the middle, and then twisted them around each other and pinned them into place.
Kahlia used Chanel Khol pencil in 61 and fluidline in blacktrack to create that Michael Kors-eque smokey cat eye. She then applied Mac lipstick in Rebel with a fluffy brush for more of a stain look, followed by Nars velvet lip pencil in Train Bleu in the center of the mouth and then smudged it outwards for that unevenness. We complimented the dramatic eyes and lips with some strong brows and natural skin.
I loved how light and approachable this runway inspired look was. It was perfect for a night out, and I've since been able to re-create it myself.
