If there’s one thing I couldn’t bring myself to do this party season, it was buying a new glitzy holiday dress that I was bound to never re-wear.  This Christmas has been particularly casual and short-lived, so purchasing something new just wasn’t an option.  Instead, To Vogue Or Bust and I raided our own closets for items we could put a ‘holiday’ spin on.  With the help of the AMAZING Christie Graham and Denise Elliott, here’s what we came up with!

Who would have thought that a kelly green blouse would be such an important investment?  Some people are into stocks and bonds, I’m all about the long lived blouse.  This is probably why my bank doesn’t understand me on a deeper level.  Where was I?  Right, the green blouse.  Added some sparkly jewellery and a red lip et voila.  A simple blouse and black denim are transformed into a party ready look!  I love how Alex styled her culottes with a sequin top and mary jane pumps.  Such an understated glamorous combo!

Love the back of that blouse! It adds a nice little twist to the outfit 🙂
By the way, what is that lipstick shade? It’s gorgeous!

I love how you guys shopped your closets for NYE! I’ll be doing the same, it just doesn’t make sense to buy a whole new sparkle outfit that I’ll barely wear when, just like you, I have invested heavily in my closet ??

I like the green blouse! It has a festive but effortless vibe to it.
