Like a true fashionista, I basically used the wedding as an excuse to buy every dress possible.  This gorgeous little Cinderella number, being one of them.  It is, in fact, a “prom dress” from ASOS that I purchased months ago, with the intention of saving it for my bridal shower.  I thought the silhouette and detailing were beautiful and I loved the princess vibe , as my wedding dress was a very different style.  Purchasing online is always a bit tricky, but I’m happy to report that it fits true to size and with my larger bust measurement, I didn’t even have to wear/probably couldn’t fit a bra underneath.  Be sure to SHOP THE LOOK using the links above for the gorgeous Fall versions of this frock!

The day of my bridal shower was a scorcher.  We were in the middle of our heatwave/drought and although beautiful, this fabric doesn’t exactly breathe.  At least I’d made the smart decision to have my makeup trial with Denise Elliott that morning, so that I’d be extra glam for the festivities!  She always does such an amazing job.

My mom, mother-in-law, and bridesmaids threw an absolutely lovely bridal shower!  I couldn’t get over all the thoughtful touches.  There were framed pictures at each display of Adam and I at each station, like the drink table below, and a string of printed photos of us clothes pinned across the window.

I’d banned most games (not really a game kinda gal) but requested the always fun ‘What Age Are They’ game.  You simply display photos of the bride (and/or groom) and number them.  Then each guest fills in each age they think they are and someone marks them while gifts are being opened.  Afterward, you award the winners a cute little prize and can go over the ages if people are curious.  It’s honestly really tough to play, even for yourself!
