24 Hours in Whistler

December 5, 2016

With lots to celebrate, Alex, Jill, and I opted for an epic 24 hours in Whistler rather than a dinner in the city together.  Jilly was only in town from Toronto for a short time and we HAD to gather and toast her recent engagement.  Trust me, there was no shortage of bubbly that weekend!  Besides champers, we woke up on the Saturday morning to a delightful snowfall and spent the day singing the instrumental Gilmore Girls’ winter song.  As you can see from the photos, it was the tiniest amount of powder, but still magical.

Be sure to scroll down for my Whistler recommendations and outfit details!

24 HOURS IN WHISTLER

STAY

The Fairmont Chateau Whistler – Always

EAT

Brunch at Stonesedge – I’m always looking for brunch spots that have good coffee and fresh/veggie friendly ingredients, which sounds like a simple criteria, but you’d be surprised.  There’s a lot of grease out there!  Anyway, Stonesedge was a nice surprise, I highly recommend the Farmer’s Bowl (I subbed tofu for egg) and we had great service, which is a bonus.

Snacks and Coffee at Purebread – You cannot go to Whistler, for any amount of time, and not stop at Purebread.

Dinner at Basalt – Just when we thought our girl’s night couldn’t get any better, we arrive to Basalt and are told there’s a 3 course meal for $25 deal.  Had amazing pappardelle pasta and shared a bottle of red.  It was so cozy!

DO

Spa Day at Scandinave – 10/10 would spa there again.  It’s high season right now, so I would arrive early or book a massage to reserve a spot in the baths and really treat yo self!  We got there around 11:30 AM on the Saturday to a winding lineup all the way to the entrance.  After about 20 minutes in the queue, a woman came up to us and handed us each a lock.  We were the last group to be let in!  Everyone else was waitlisted for the baths.  It’s always so relaxing and lovely there, worth it for an expensive nap.

Ski/Snowboard if that’s your thing but it’s not mine, so I spa instead.

What are your favourite things to do/see/eat while in Whistler for one night?!  Let me know in the comments below 🙂
