Being in front of the camera can still be strange, especially when it’s with a professional. I headed to Lighthouse Park in West Van a few weeks ago to meet up with Whitewood Studios for a creative shoot. I hiked the 30 minutes towards the water with full makeup and a little sundress, though thankfully with practical shoes. Slightly overheated, when I arrived at the water, I felt less than photo shoot ready. Jenna and the team were super chill though and immediately made me feel comfortable. We continued to climb the rocks and explore the beach – it was a really fun little adventure! I even managed to lay down on the rock, despite the giant cockroach-meets-beetle type creatures scurrying around. Not without a few squeals, of course! Seriously though, I almost fell out of my chair when I saw how these photos turned out. From something that felt so ordinary, Jenna managed to create these beautiful, dreamy photos. Film is THE way to go, and I couldn’t be happier with how this shoot turned out! Thanks again to the Whitewood team!

Wow, this shoot was gorgeous! Firstly, I love that amazing dress and how you styled it with the black hat and booties. Secondly, I love the setting– that water and rocky environment are just stunning backgrounds!
A local photographer is also thinking of taking pictures of me at a Vancouver beach so I'm hoping that those pics turn out half as nice as yours!
