& now we interrupt this program for an important announcement

March 28, 2011

Adam and I are moving in together!
He purchased an apartment last summer from a seller that was moving to France, so we was able to buy it fully furnished. Though she had decorated it beautifully, we now have the delightful task of making it ours. The bedroom will be completely re-done and I’ve been surrounding myself with an abundance of design inspiration. And as an HGTV junkie and a home store frequenter, this is a dream come true. I love the challenge of making the space gender neutral, and to slowly make the apartment our own. My biggest issue? Where on earth will I put all of my clothes and accessories?!
If you have ANY interior design blogs or websites, or know of any great Vancouver or online stores please let me know! Any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated. I look forward to showing you the before and after progress we make over the next month until I move in May 1st.

Congratulations! That's an exciting step in your relationship! I moved in with my boyfriend last August and I basically took over two closets. If you have a spare room call dibs on that closet space!

  • Ashelle March 28, 2011 at 9:41 pm

Congratulations! This is exciting news. I've been living with my boyfriend for almost 4 years and it is wonderful. I agree with Marie la Mode. When we moved into the house, I turned a spare room into my closet/spare room. It's great because in the apartment we were always arguing about how many clothes I have… now he doesn't see them (and he has room in the bedroom closet), it's not a problem.

Congrats on moving in together! How exciting! My now-husband and I moved in together after only dating for 6 months (we were friends for years before we started dating) and it was the best decision ever! Don't worry, it will all fall into place and you'll find room for all your stuff!! 🙂

Aw yay, congratulations!! Wish I knew a great secret source to share with you but I don't think I do… I've recently joined Pinterest and people post some amazing stuff there, you could search "home" or "apartment" or whatever there and see what people have "pinned" up.
