This outfit pretty much reflects my uniform lately: jeans, blouse, sweater, repeat. The only added bonus is the hat…okay, and the seagulls. Isn’t that seagull print cute? I’m really loving all the fun prints I’ve seen this season. Just can’t seem to get enough of them!
I’m pretty sure that I’m already sick of winter. I get one week of sunshine and I’m a total weather snob. Ready whenever you are Spring 🙂

If you’ve ever wondered what I do for a living, or want to get into the fashion industry, then you should read my latest vitaminwater post! It’s all about how I became a stylist and a few tips on how to further your career in fashion.
The reality is that I have too many Mexico pictures to squeeze into one post. Here I have done something extremely innovative; a post that is half outfit post, half photo journal. I know, I know, I’m like super creative and stuff. It’s all about thinking outside of my usual little tiny box 😉
This particular day in Meh-i-co we hung out with Adam’s co-worker Adam (are you laughing at white guys with generic names? Because I am) and his girlfriend Tessa. We all took a taxi into the nearest town, Playa Del Carmen. I love walking up and down the streets of Playa because it’s full of cute restaurants, little stores and street vendors, beautiful art, locals, and lots of touristy goodness. I wore my best vintage Aritzia ensemble (by vintage I mean shorts are Spring ’09 and Tank is Spring ’10) and we had a magic hour photo shoot on the beach! After our shoot, we hunted for a restaurant for delicious Mexican food. When in Rome! We settled on La Parilla where we sipped on large sized margaritas and had the yummiest meal of the trip!

Beach and resort photos will be up this weekend. Happy Friday 🙂
My post for today is going to be borrowed from my vitaminwater posts because I technically wrote those too. So really it’s all the same, just a different site. Makes sense, non?
Regardless, I have been waiting for weeks for you guys to see this post! My new years resolution (as seen on TheAnthology.com) is to keep my closet organized for 2011. An entire year of organization (…looks over at messy closet and ignores the fact that it’s the middle of Jan and I have already let it get a little messy. I’ll start tomorrow :P). I really was SO inspired after speaking with Andrea, that I want to completely reorganize my closet and purge all those “meh” pieces that I don’t particularly wear.Hope you all enjoy the interview with Andrea. As I said before, please leave a comment if you have any questions for her or just want to say hello 🙂 Thanks so much, you’re all the best!
My first two posts for vitaminwater have now gone live on their blog!Read about the rest of my Michigan adventures (Part one can be found here). I also share my search for an alternative to the gym in order to reach my fitness goals. This post means a lot to me, as I am quite honest about body image struggles and my hatrid for the gym.Feel free to comment on my vitaminwater posts, I would especially love to hear of any body image struggles you’ve had. Thanks my lovelies xoxo
I’m back from Mexico with a tan and an attitude that’s borderline TOO relaxed. More about my vacation later though (as in, I’m still in the midst of editing over 700 photos). Packing for this trip was rushed and unorganized and there’s many regrets in the way of clothing and accessories. For the first time ever I didn’t over pack, but it was a major disadvantage when I kept thinking of all the wonderful pieces I’d left at home. It’s also quite a chore to get outfit photos on a vacation. I think somewhere in the definition of ‘vacation’ it states that you should be taking a break from outfit photos. I’ll have to check my dictionary for the exact wording 😛
Despite all the clothing I left at home, this was the outfit I was most excited about. I got this dress at Barefoot Contessa on Boxing Day for half price. The colourful pattern is beautiful and the shape is incredibly forgiving. I also love that it can be worn to the office or out for dinner and drinks. Versatility is so necessary. I found so many wonderful things at Barefoot on the 26th, I can’t wait to show you the rest. From now on, I’ll only Boxing Day shop at small boutiques because they have great deals, tons of parking, and a relatively calm atmosphere. Perfect shopping conditions 🙂
When I started this blog back in 2008, I literally had about 5 readers, all of whom were already my friends. We all have to start somewhere, right? Now, here I am telling you about a series of guest posts I wrote for vitaminwater canada. I never would have dreamed that anyone would start reading my blog, let alone ask me to be a guest blogger for them. It is an incredible honour!
The vitaminwater canada blog covers a wide range of topics. Anything from fitness to music, fashion to current events, and great insider info about local Canadian cities. It’s so cool that they have recruited bloggers from across the country to write for them. I always love finding new blogs to read, especially by fellow Canadians. I really think you’ll love the posts I’ve submitted to vitaminwater canada. If you have a chance, please take a look at their incredibly sweet and flattering introduction. I’ll keep you updated as the posts go live.
Thank you for always supporting me and to vitaminwater canada for this amazing opportunity!
It seems surreal, but we leave for Mexico in an hour. The trip is a little bit last minute, so it hasn’t really sunk in yet. I don’t even know what I’ve packed because once again left that until the last minute. I’m so bloody predictable!
I hope everyone had an amazing New Years and that you all have a lot to look forward to this year! I am so thankful to have had such a wonderful 2010, I can’t even imagine all the great things 2011 might bring. I definitely want to focus on achieving balance this year. Less partying, more blogging 😉 No really though, I do want to find more time to blog in the new year, and I look forward to catching up on my blog reading once I’m back home.
Have a great week everyone, be back soon enough xoxo
Hello my lovely readers! Hope everyone had an awesome Christmas and that Santa spoiled you! I sure got far more than I needed, everyone was seriously too generous! I didn’t take many holiday photos, so I have instead decided to share an outfit I wore last week.
I’m on a remix mission, so I paired an old dress with a new cardigan to liven it up. I need to stop adding to my wardrobe and do a better job of wearing what I already own. No more standing in front of my closet and saying I have nothing to wear…I have TOO much to wear! The main star of this outfit has to be my hat though. Crazy into hats right now. They’re so practical here in Vancouver since we get so much rain, they keep my hair semi protected from the elements. Any other hat addicts out there?
