Hitched

March 9, 2016

In honour of Adam and I being on the COVER of Hitched magazine (how surreal is that?!), I wanted to pass on some major vendor love.  Making the day come together was such a group effort, I cannot stress enough how wonderful everyone was to work with!  I also sorted through the footage and put together this super lengthy but very awesome video of our entire wedding weekend.  From the set up, to rehearsal, the big storm, and of course, the big day.  Hope you enjoy and be sure to scroll down for all our #WinnettWedding team details!

THE DREAM TEAM

PHOTOGRAPHY
Shari and Mike, Vancouver based but they love to travel
These two absolutely MADE our wedding.  They’re the kind of people that you instantly want to be friends with (and I hope that we are friends now…right guys?..right?) and their talent is undeniable.  I couldn’t believe how seamlessly they captured the character and beauty in our friends and family.  They absolutely went above and beyond by just being their amazing selves.  Cannot recommend them enough!

DAY-OF/EVENT STYLING
Best Day Ever, Vancouver and beyond
Chelsey and Dene are really the glue that brought everything together.  They were the voices of reason when I was spiralling into panic and their organization and talent made me feel completely relaxed going into the weekend.  These ladies are a delight to work with and they are a must for your day, big or small!

VIDEOGRAPHY
The Heart Behind It, based in Nashville
That’s right.  I flew in the darling Rachel Ashley from The Heart Behind It in from Nashville and she was everything I was hoping for and more.  Rachel was able to get the ideal moments and footage from the day and then put it all together in a stunning highlight video.

FLORIST
The Flower Factory, Main Street in Vancouver
Gloria and her team absolutely blew me away.  You just never know if the vision will all come together or if the inspiration boards would translate, but our partnership absolutely brought floral magic!  The bouquets and floral design ended up being one of my favourite aspects of the decor.

ATMOSPHERE + FOOD

VENUE
North Arm Farm, Pemberton, British Columbia
Thanks to my friend Christie‘s recommendation, we were lucky enough to find THE perfect local destination in North Arm Farm, Pemberton.  We wanted to have a backyard wedding feel but with spectacular views and boy did North Arm deliver!  Big thanks to everyone at the farm for the best weekend of our lives.

MUSIC
Live Performance by Colin Bullock, Vancouver and Whistler
Colin was a slight splurge for us but we knew how much we love music and that he’d be a vital part of the party.  He was an absolute integral part of our day, I cannot stress enough how much he will take your wedding to the next level!
DJ booked through Musos Entertainment, Vancouver
I love that Musos took care of everything including all the tech gear that I hadn’t even thought of until they asked.  Their communication with us was great and I love how our DJ mixed the perfect amount of what we requested and his own dance floor hits!

CATERING
Chef John Farris of The Collective Kitchen, Pemberton
Adam and I LOVE good food and know how much a delicious meal can make or break an evening.  This is why we knew that John Farris was our best option for our Pemberton wedding.  He is beyond wonderful to partner with and makes some of the best food that I’ve ever tasted.  If it’s any indication, people are STILL talking about the food at our wedding!

THE LOOK

BEAUTIFYING TEAM
Makeup by Denise Elliott, Vancouver and beyond
I’ve worked with Denise a number of times now and trust her to always create the look I have in mind.  I especially love her way of doing an elevated natural look, she really listens and is immensely talented.  She always makes me feel like a million bucks and there’s no one else I would have trusted with my wedding makeup!
Hair by Nadia Bullock, Vancouver and beyond
Nadia is genuinely such a sweetheart and I’ve seen her do really beautiful wedding hairstyle for quite a few years now.  She brought such a calm and reassuring presence that morning and I love how extra gorgeous she made all the ladies look.

BRIDAL STYLE
My dress is the 2623 Mori Lee from Champagne and Lace in Abbotsford.  My earrings and bracelet are Elsa Corsi from Jeweliette Jewelry in Vancouver.  The silk bridal shoes were from Lord’s Shoes in South Granville.  My talented mom made both my veil and the bridal party’s floral silk robes!
