You guys, it’s JULY!  I think I blinked and skipped an entire month.  That’s okay though, we’ve skipped ahead to summer heat and that works for me!  Gave me the chance to wear my new neon and leopard print sandals.  Found them in a random little boutique in Antibes and they were just too fun to leave behind.

The first day back is always the toughest.  Hundreds of emails to sort, bags to be unpacked (and you just know there’ll be heaps of laundry to follow), an empty fridge, and work to catch up on.  But, two and a half weeks of vacation bliss is just so worth it.  I did miss you guys though, and am so happy to be back to the blog.  Thanks for sticking by as I took a little time off.  Just means there’ll be even more to catch you up on!

Man repelling at its finest, Adam saw these in the apartment and assumed they were my new pajamas.  Which is silly, because I wear old sweats to bed.  Probably wishful thinking on his part.  Really though,  I love styling up these sporty printed trousers with structured blazers and blousy tops.  The bright drawstring is such a surprise pop of colour as well, the Aritzia team really done good this time!  I can’t stop wearing these, they’re ideal for these confused weather days.  Hope your week is off to a great start! xo

Stripes and florals are just a match made in outfit heaven.  SO many combinations, so little time.  I’m just disappointed these shots turned out slightly over-exposed.  I mean, they looked fine on the camera at the time, but it’s a rookie mistake to double check photos with sunglasses on (#bloggerproblems…).  Will be wearing this one a lot this summer though, so there’s always next time.

Speaking of which, I’m all about the ‘lady length’ in skirts right now.  I could go for about 3 more skirts like this one.  Hear that mom?  Get out that sewing machine already!  They’re going to be a staple on our trip.  Now I just need to find the right shoes to pull off this length in the daytime.  Though, comfortable yet stylish travel shoes in general are basically mission impossible.  I’ll keep ya posted 😉

I’ve always loved the look of wide-leg trousers, but had yet to find a pair that worked for me.  That was, until a recent trip to Anthropologie, where this beautiful green fabric was peeking through the sale racks.  The only pair, marked down twice to just $20 and exactly my size.  How could I refuse?  I LOVE a good sale find!
