as soon as i saw this mullet dress (is there another name for it?  sounds so offensive…and 80’s) i knew i had to have it!  the perfect shade of blue and pretty spring florals.  thinking this frock will come in handy his upcoming wedding season, seeing as i have at least five nuptials to attend this year!  which by the way, are the perfect excuse to keep buying new outfits.

this look might have been slightly over doing it last week though, when i put this on to go do work at a coffee shop.  was definitely the fanciest person in kitsilano on a friday afternoon!  oh well, better to be overdressed than too casual, right?

Oh Alicia – I love that you put this on for Starbucks 🙂 You are a true fashion blogger, my friend. Then again, I can't blame you for wanting to wear this dress out, it's gorgeous! Although the style has to be called something other than a mullet dress… That name is just too awful!

I overdress all the time! Life's too short to let my clothes rot in the closet and wait for that "special occassion". It's Wednesday. Special enough for me.

  • Marisa May 17, 2012 at 6:34 am

Oh, this is so beautiful! I'm still on the hunt for a hi-low skirt and/or dress (your term for the style is speaking to me…mullet, haha). Definitely wear this outfit to one of the weddings you're attending this summer!

  • Chelle May 21, 2012 at 8:46 pm

Well aren't you absolutely stunning! I was initially hands up, a big fat NO to me ever wearing a mullet-dress (I call them that too!) and now my mind has completely changed. Especially after seeing this on you! It looks gorgeous and now I'm on the hunt for something similar. My bank account does not like you 😉

    Have a lovely long weekend!
