I love the colour blocking that I’ve been seeing this spring. The bold colour combinations are so fun, and I’ve been anxious to try it out for myself. It appears though, that I’ll have to take baby steps to achieve a full colour blocking outfit. There’s something intimidating by grabbing the brightest pieces in your wardrobe and wearing all of them…at the same time!

This song is on repeat right now and makes me excited for sunny weather and many more bright coloured outfits 😉 Happy Thursday aka Friday.

    1. Your outfit is perfect! How do you manage to look so shapely and flattered when wearing a long blazer over a pleated skirt?! It's baffling to me but you're pulling it off!

    2. That song goes perfectly on my Summer playlist. Where have I heard it before? Lovely!

I LOVE this outfit – the bright colours make me so happy and excited about spring! I'm jealous that you were able to find such an amazing blazer at H&M, I never seem to have luck finding awesome pieces like that.

    Uhm, you clash.

KIDDING. I'm a huge fan of colour blocking! Throw in some green pants and call it a day!

I loooove these photos! You look awesome! And that blazer is so fantastic! I went to h&m today and didn't see a single item I've been swooning over on other blogs lately. Sigh. I seriously lack solids in my wardrobe, but once I accumulate more, you can bet I will be attempting this color blocking thing! 😉 Love it!

  • Jen April 22, 2011 at 4:17 am

I love colour blocking and you've done it well! These two colours are unexpected but go together so well. That blazer looks vintage, can't believe it's from H&M!

Anyway, I totally wish I could join you girls this Sunday but I'm still in the middle of exams. I go to school in Langley (graduating next week!) so that probably explains why we haven't met yet. But I'm sure we will soon cross paths! xo

You don't need baby-steps, this outfit is already perfect! I'm a big fan of blue and yellow together, I love how yours almost has a tropical quality to it and then you toned it down with the darker-toned bottom half. Lovely as per usual 🙂

I think you did a great job with the colour blcoking, it's very pretty. It tales a certain talent to wear clashing brights without looking awkward.
