February Fashion Challenge

January 31, 2011

february fashion challengeOkay, so it’s the middle of winter and the other day I was looking out the window at rain and grey skies. It was no incentive to put together a cute outfit. It was the kind of weather that causes depression…DEPRESSION people! To avoid a severe case of the sads, I’m going to attempt a little February project. Because when your plate is already full, why not pile on more?

My idea is for a February Fashion Challenge. I will pick 28 pieces in my wardrobe and show you how I styled each piece. I will not be buying any new items. I will simply shop within my own closet. This may seem redundant, but I’ve chosen each piece for a reason. Some are things I’ve never worn, others are pieces I have a difficult time styling, and some are just my favourite pieces in my wardrobe. I’m trying to step outside of my comfort zone and push my styling limits. And if you didn’t take the time to count the number of items in the picture above, it’s only 18. I still need to photograph the next 10 pieces, which is what happens when you try to pack 28 things in a hurry. Attempting to blog every day for a month is a huge challenge, but I’m totally up for it (haha I say this now, but talk to me in 2 weeks). It’s day one tomorrow and I think I might start with the bow belt, or maybe the fur hat…we’ll just have to see.Happy Monday 🙂

You've picked some gorg pieces. Can't wait to see how you style them, yay! As for the Vancouver rain? Ugh. I know, it's so hard to think of cute outfits when it's pouring outside. xx veronika

Is it really selfish that this excites me mostly because I'm hoping that it means the rest of your closet is open to me?
    Yah?
    I thought so…
But I really do love the idea of this! I've been in a fashion rut lately and could use some of your inspiration!
