London Fashion Week

I really wasn’t sure how to style my culottes past one basic look.  And when I tried this combo, I didn’t  think that I’d be able to pull off this whole chunky sweater with loose pants that kind of look like a skirt and are hemmed at what I would consider to actually be the least flatter spot on my calves.  But hey, we all surprise ourselves sometimes, right?!

This is also the exact look that I’d styled in hopes to be going to London Fashion Week in some sort of way.  As everything with our trip was super last minute, our LFW involvement amounted to us merely being in London at the same time that everything was going on.  The ultimate London Fashion Week wannabe!  Slightly regret not putting more time into at least seeing a show, but it shall just have to remain on the bucket list!

Hi! We have a very similar body shape and natural (and occasionally glammed-natural) style so I’m obsessed with your insta and blog! Also, I’m a bride-to-be (4/30/16!) and have a super random question: any tips on undergarments under the dress? Even my dress is similar to yours! Wondering if I should wear something so the fabric is more flattering. Thanks so much. xo

Hi Marlene! OMG love love love it, if you ever have any style tips to pass on to me as well, I’m always looking! Finding someone with a similar body shape is THE best 🙂 Also, huge congratulations. Super excited for you, it’s going to be such a special and beautiful day! Honestly, I went bra-less (we added boning to the dress to help keep things up) and just wore my comfiest underwear! It was the kind of thing where I decided to be comfortable than struggling in spanx. That being said, something like spanx is still a great option, especially if it’s not hot where your wedding is happening. Anyway, not the best answer but hopefully that helps a little bit! Let me know if you have any other questions and all the best on April 30th XOXO

OMG, thank you so much for such a real answer. It does help, and basically covered and affirmed all of the jumbled thoughts I’ve had about it (just go comfy…wait spanx…wait, no. comfy). At this point, despite the jitters and excitement and wanting to look “perfect”–whatever that is– I honestly really just want to enjoy every moment and waste time being uncomfortable. Thx again for being awesome! xo
