Ever since I discovered the styling genius on Atlantic-Pacific, I have been so motivated to create new and exciting looks. No idea how she slipped my fashion blog stalking radar, but I haven’t felt this inspired in quite some time! I locked Adam out of the bedroom and spent a good chunk of my evening dancing around and putting outfits together. Are you guilty of this as well? I doubt boys could understand it, but I just love having an outfit ready for those last minute fashion emergencies!

Hope everyone is having a great week 🙂

I loooove this Alicia! Your hat and necklace really complete the outfit! Has anyone ever told you that you look like Jeanine Mason, one of the winners from So You Think You Can Dance??? You do!

I'm totally a last minute outfit kind of girl- I find if I think too hard about putting things together, the results look overthought. Your outfit planning, on the other hand, seems to have paid off amazingly. That H&M blouse just might be the best ever- how on earth did I miss it, I practically don't shop anywhere else!- and a girl can never go wrong with a good floppy hat 🙂

It's actually sort of worrisome how many times I'm locked up in my room by myself…trying on clothes…staring at myself in the mirror…many would worry about something being very wrong with me, myself included. I love this outfit though, and yes the first thing I thought about is how creatively and amazingly you styled it! You look beautiful as per usual, you really need to do a hair tutorial at some point or another. Hope you're not reeling too much from the game last night, fingers crossed that we do good tomorrow!

  • GIRL AND CLOSET June 10, 2011 at 2:40 pm

Alicia, hello kindred spirit, YES, I'm so guilty of locking myself in my room, while poor martin is left to surf the internet on a Friday night.

I usually have wine, whilst sex and the city plays in the background AND I try on a ridiculous amount of clothes. As for Atlantic-Pacific?! ADORE her!! And I adore your outfit, lovely inspiration. xx veronika

Love this outfit – and yes, Atlantic-Pacific is a huge source of style inspiration for me too.

  • Lori June 17, 2011 at 1:40 am

OMG I do the exact same thing with the outfits! I get the full length mirror ready, put on some music, start organizing clothes on the bed, then the party begins! I make outfit after outfit, dance around so proud of what I've put together, then Chris walks in and I look like a complete moron, but that's okay 🙂 Anything for Fashion yes?

Haha, I do this all the time and my housemates make fun of me for it. But it's seriously a great way to de-stress, at least for me. Like playing dress-up but for adults.
