Christmas On Grouse

December 24, 2015

grouse mountain, north shore mountains, what to do on grouse

Hands down, the best decision I’ve made so far this holiday season.  To Vogue Or Bust (I promise I use her first name in real life…) and I went up to Grouse Mountain for a morning chock full of Christmas fun.  So much to do, so much to see, and we didn’t even ski!  Sorry for the rhyme, the holiday spirit is strong with me today, my friends.

Had my very first snowshoeing experience, which was a BLAST!  I love anything that 1. disguises exercise as something fun and 2. provides a constant instagram photo opportunity.  I will definitely be back to do a lengthier snowshoeing trek.  Such an outdoorswoman now, I bet you can barely even recognize me!

We took full advantage of the cold with a hot chocolate and a coffee break.  We hung out at Elf Headquarters to watch an Ice Age Christmas film and write a letter to Santa.  We browsed the gingerbread houses and of course spent plenty of time with Dancer and Prancer.  Our only regret was that we didn’t get to visit Santa himself, though he did walk past us in the cafeteria and we fangirled.

The new light walk was a pleasant surprise, it made for such a picturesque hike around the mountain.  I’ve gone to Grouse a few Christmases in a row now, so it was lovely having something new to check out!

If you haven’t been up to Grouse Mountain this holiday season, I definitely recommend that you do.  The kids will love it, but not-so-secretly it’s just as magical for adults!  Merry Christmas xo

Looks like so much fun! I’ve only ever been to the top of Grouse in the summer, but it looks like they have as much fun in the winter too!
