I received this adorable Madewell brooch from my coworker. (Hmm another gift…thanks friends!!) I wore it once as a pretend belt but, since I’ve already worn a bow belt during this challenge, I needed to find another use for it (and should probably stop obsessing over bows. Actually, nah). I looked at some menswear photos on blogs and in JCrew and tried the bow brooch out as a pretend bow tie!
It has been so wonderful to hear all of you say that I’ve inspired you to try and wear something you had forgotten. I mean, we’re all guilty of clothing neglect! I love the brooch as a bowtie look. I've been looking for a navy blue polka dot bowtie but the right colour and size is hard to find. You look great in the red plaid and the vest is a nice touch.
