photo shoot with Ned

i met up with the wonderful ned for a photo shoot last week at main and terminal. the area is sketchy at best, but sometimes those beat up warehouses make for the perfect backdrop! i really wanted to wear my summer best, but every time we made plans to do a sunny shoot, mr.sunshine would hide behind the clouds. and so, i give you an early fall look including my new blouse. it cost me a mere $7, smelled like a grandma (i washed it, don’t worry), and is the perfect mix of 90’s couch colours. it was also my first time wearing these shoes, and apparently they’re just decorative shoes to be worn while sitting for short periods of time. because after 45 minutes in them i had huge blisters and sore feet. rats, i hate when that happens!

But they're so preeeety!! The little pop of mint is perfect and slightly matchy, without making it too matchy-matchy… does that make sense?!
Love the photos, he did such a wonderful job! xx

As I'm sure you know, I'm a big fan of anything that came from a vintage store smelling like grandma, and your blouse is no exception. Somehow you make the bizarre nineties colours seem muted and beautiful πŸ™‚ And the setting of these photos is awesome. I love shooting in sketchy, rundown places- although preferably in comfortable shoes, just in case!

As always, love your style! The "90s couch colours" made me giggle then think of Adrian Wu's fall collection. Lately he's actually been using couch fabric to make dynamic dresses.
